One of the couches is where Ava sat at the moment. Her laptop was rested upon her lap as she typed quickly across the keys. She was deeply concentrated on what it was she was working on. Soft brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail but a few persistent pieces still fell by her features.
She would pause for a moment intense teal hues focused on the screen as she reached for her coffee on the side table. It was brought to her lips which her focus never left the screen. People might wonder what she was doing, but none would ever guess the truth, she looked innocent, but that was hardly the case. Ava didn't look like she could be a threat, but never judge a book my its cover.
The coffee cup was placed back upon the table before fingers moved back to the keys to type away again. Everyone once in a while hues would lift to scan the room to see who was there. But she was so good at it, it was hardly noticeable.

Arthur Deville, 42yrs. old record mogul...father of 3, his wife Samantha was the last person to hear him alive. How do I know this? The answer is very simple...I'm the one who killed him. Now I'm not going to explain myself as to why I did it, I've already done that didn't I? Surely I did, you just needed to be clever enough to find out when.
It's fucking cold outside, can't wait to make my way in. I look at my hands and still see some of his blood...bastard was ripe, didn't expect his head to pop like that. Change of clothes, a shower, and yet traces of his blood still managed to stay on my hands. I'll have to wash them quickly when I enter...which I do.
Hm, looks busy tonight. Seems busy everynight really. I grab my usual seat, glancing around the menu like i'm really giving thought to what I want when I already know. Makes the waitresses work harder I guess. What a night...happy fucking thanksgiving huh?

Ava got a chill down her spine a brow would arch a bit as she let her gaze raise. Why on earth had she gotten that feeling. Intense hues scanned around the room, it was pretty much the same people except for one. Who seemed to be studying a menu. Head would cant to the side a bit as she took him in. In her profession you took in as much as you could about a person as quickly as you could.
However she would let her gaze shift after a moment, not wanting to be caught staring at him. She would look to her screen once again though she kept a look on him out of the corner of her eye. For some reason she felt like she had to. And Ava followed her feelings.

Eyes on me...I feel them from all around. Is the blood still there? Thankfully the waitress comes to end my worries and take my order. "Calamari, Chicken Fingers, and a Sam Adams Boston Lager...thanks doll." I wink at the waitress, that always seems to work in making them give that smile which says Give me a 20 Dollar Tip.
Hm, this place is busy I got to say...might be sometime before my order goes through. Again I look at my hands, not sure in anyone notices, don't really care really. I just wanted to satisfy my curiosities that all was taken care of. Arthur Deville...poor bastard. Family isn't going to have a very good holliday this year...but I'm sure in the long run they'll thank me for doing them a service.

Ava couldn't help but keeping an eye on him, why she wasn't exactly sure, but she was. To anyone she might just look like she was checking him out. Which in a sense she was, but not in any way they would think. Ava had a innocence to her appearance. But she was a deadly innocent, and most didn't know until it was too late.
Hues remained on him for a moment as he placed his order and then he looked at his hands as though he was inspecting them. A thin brow would arch a bit. Another sip of her coffee was taken as she let her gaze filter to the screen for a moment. She was no longer concentrating on her work, now her mind was trying to figure out why she felt like she needed to watch this one. Why had she gotten that chill down her spine when he came in.

The fuck is she looking at? I look behind me to maybe see if she's looking at someone else, but there's nothing but wall behind me. If there's one thing that annoys me more then pointless conversationss when in reality we are all just really looking for a lay...it's being stared at for reasons unknown to me.
Might as well go and confront this woman who seems to have an eye on me. From the looks of her she has that top quality escort look...guess I could throw some money away for one night. The laptop's a cute gimmick, giving her a sophisticated look, it works.
Since she takes a rude approach of just staring at me, I greet her with equal hospitality and pull a chair across from her to cut off her view from anywhere else in the cafe.
"You know it's not polite to stare at strangers don't you miss?"

Well, she wasn't expecting him to come over. Had she been that obvious? Or was there another reason he realized she was staring at him, it was common in professions like hers. All these thoughts raced in her head as he approached her.
She would chuckle softly with an embarrassment to it. "Oh... I am sorry. You just reminded me of someone and I am not sure who... I didn't mean to stare..." Well that was a lie, but that was not easy for anyone to tell. She would turn on that innocent charm as she would gently flutter her eyes a bit as she looked down pretending to be a bit embarrassed. Oh she had many many years of practice in this, she was good.

"Really? That is odd..." His words trailed off as he leaned over toward her from his seated position and continued. "...seeing as how we've never met." A dimpled smile was given before he rested back in his seat.
She would look back up to him offering a soft shy smile. "Sorry... I just couldn't figure it out, and I guess you resemble someone I knew or something." She would gently shake her head a bit as she looked down to her keyboards again.
"You'd be surprised how often I get that. I guess I just have one of those faces you know?" Dark eyes would then glance around the busy cafe. "There's more people then usual here...I'm somewhat of a regular." Hues again focused on Ava before a slow smile again formed and a hand was offered. "Since I'm here might as well introduce myself. Jacob Kyle, freelance photographer though most of my work can be viewed in the daily news."
Ava would glance around and nod gently in agreement. She would offer her hand in return. "Names Ava, and I work with these things." She spoke with a laugh as she gestured to her laptop.
"Oh...god...yea I'm like a caveman when it comes to those. Was never really good with computers and such. My form of expertise is mainly with my hands." If she only knew how true my claim was. One needed to be masterful with his hands when doing what I do for a living.
Little did he know Ava was in the same boat as him, she just was specialized in computers and all that went along with it. She would chuckle lightly. "Most people are... But that’s why I have a job." A smirk would form in the corner of her mouth.
"Guess so..." He would nod before motioning for the waitress who approached the table he was seated at before, now bringing his order to his new seat. "Thank you." A wink was given to the waitress as she passed by before he looked to Ava once more. "So what exactly do you do Ava? If I may ask of course."
A smile would be offered to the waitress as well before her gaze shifted to him. Well she couldn't answer his question truthfully, so her cover would come out. "Well anything that needs to be done, programming, retrieval, fixing what people mess up.... The usual." She would nod gently as she took another sip of her coffee.
"I see...is it as dull as it sounds? I've always imagined working with computers, sitting in one position for more then 20 minutes to be more punishment then pleasure. There's really no interaction with the outside world, you know?"
She would gently shake her head. "No it can be very interesting, and I interact with people. I do more reliance, so I don't just sit at a desk for hours and do nothing else." Well she did more then that, but she wasn't gonna let that one slip.
"I see..." He would nod a moment then stand from his seat as he glanced at his watch. "I'm sorry...I have to get going, business related I hope you understand. I'm easy to find, just keep passing through here and I'm sure we'll meet again. A pleasure meeting you Ava." A faint smile given as he left the money for his order and whatever she may have ordered before walking away.
